This episode we take on a favorite topic among Commander players – mass land destruction. We spend a considerable amount of time poking the Sean “British Bear” Whatson, and Nate uses a term in relation to Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth that we hadn’t heard in Magic before.

If there is a player I’m looking to beat into submission, lets call him Phil, I side one card into my Prossh deck. Din of the Fireherd: 5 generic and 3 hybrid black/red
Put a 5/5 black and red Elemental creature token onto the battlefield. Target opponent sacrifices a creature for each black creature you control, then sacrifices a land for each red creature you control.
If Din of the Fireherd is cast the turn after Prossh with nothing else on your board it reads, “Put a 5/5 creature into play, target player sacrifices 2 creatures and sacrifices 9 lands.”
Correction…. only 8 lands are sacrificed after Prossh creates 6 kobolds.
it’s tied to one of the prettiest tokens in the game too, I use it in my Thrax deck
You made me choke on my coffee. – Phil
Avid MTG & Commander fan.
didn’t mean to put this! thought it was like a short bio blurb
It’s all right! We are a forgiving sort. 🙂
What commander do you enjoy the most?
– Phil
WinMore games in Lenexa, KS is doing box preorders at MSRP if you’re a loyal customer. “Loyal customer” is at the discretion of the shop owner, I’m sure, but still a really good deal and a great way to get people out to their FLGS.
